Trident Process Systems, a fabrication company for energy industry customers, manually tracked all scheduling and workforce needs per project in a series of excel files. Keeping track of jobs for hundreds of customers in over 100,000 SQ FT of space became unmanageable for the Trident team. Challenge:
Using multiple Excel files to manually track the scheduling and workforce needs for every project became error-prone and time consuming for the fabrication company. One primary Excel production schedule to hold general product information for various projects caused employees to:
- Manually update the assembly schedule to assign people to projects every week.
- Update five other spreadsheets from the assembly schedule
- Manually populate the scheduling dates and assign
- Often reschedule the entire backlog manually
