A company with 100 locations and 2,000 people is implementing a VoIP system to centralize phone and telecom services. Unfortunately, the new system setup allows any user to access administrative changes across all sites and locations without the ability to control user access and privileges. Solution
RPA functionality through TAP Digital Tools taps into the user profile and identifies where the user logs in from and enables screen pops for immediate data entry of changes. Then a button calls the robot based on clicks and the robot makes the changes for that location only. The robot is more precise than an individual user and is completed without IT or ticketing assistance. The current security and controls gap causes mistakes due to lack of security to limit access and capabilities based on user, and TAP Digital Tools closed the gap when the big system fell short. The current process to export and pull reports is manual, relying on team members to execute this task timely and accurately. The RPA functionality allows nightly or other customized time with data based on identified fields. This information is pulled automatically and sent to their data warehouse for retrieval.
