DALLAS, TX – March 9, 2023. TAP is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced leader to assist with our prospect and client needs as a Solution Architect. This is a full-time, salaried position with health and retirement benefits. As this is not a remote position, to maximize collaboration with TAP’s division and department heads, qualified candidates must be available to work out of our corporate office in Irving, TX. Additionally, this position has growth opportunities to move into a Director or VP role as they grow and mature the Development Team.

• Build and integrate various information applications and systems to meet client and prospect needs.
• Assess the system architecture currently in place and work with technical staff to recommend solutions to improve it.
• Resolve technical problems as they arise.
• Design, modify, test, and implement the technical architecture.
• Test and integrate program software systems to address and solve specific business problems within an organization.

This position reports to the Director of Operations and regularly works with other TAP Senior Leadership.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, and other duties may be assigned.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Determine required skill sets and grow the development team.
• Provide supervision and guidance to development team members.
• Some hands-on development.
• Ability to lead and manage offshore development teams and vendors.
• Continual research on current and emerging technologies and propose changes where needed.
• Inform various stakeholders about issues with the current technical solutions being implemented.
• Assess and report to leadership the business impact various technical choices may have.
• Provide updates to stakeholders on product development processes, costs and budgets.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer science is preferred.
• Exceptionally skilled in Microsoft Stack (Azure, SQL, .NET, C#, SSIS, ADF, Power BI) and Application Development.
• In-depth understanding of coding languages.
• Strong experience with database design and data modelling.
• Exposure to RDBMS & NoSQL.
• Exposure to mobile development technologies such as iOS, Android, Xamarin and Flutter.
• Working knowledge of Cloud concepts (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS).
• Exposure to Open Stack development (MEAN/MERN, Java Microservices).
• Sound knowledge of various operating systems and databases.
• Proven work experience as a Solution Architect or similar role.
• Previous project management experience is advantageous.
• Strong communication, organizational and leadership skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work at a swift pace.
• Regularly communicate and present relevant information to company senior management.
• Establish and maintain departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Set and maintain goals for yourself.
• Proactively take the initiative and move projects forward with limited direction.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ease with building / establishing rapport with an array of people and teams.
• Professional demeanor, goal-oriented, self-motivated, creative, flexible, and adaptable to new situations.
• Passion for learning, trying new things, understanding what works, and quickly adjusting what does not work.

Reverting to manual processes and spreadsheet data tracking can stall productivity and company growth. Leading the charge to workplace efficiency as John traversed the healthcare, financial, and aerospace industries, he leveraged current technology for automation and expanded product capabilities to include web and mobile rendering software languages. John and his teams found the robust and scalable solutions valuable to other company departments that struggled with manual processes and a lack of collaborative data sharing. With a base set of tools and solutions, custom apps were quick, easy, and cost-effective to build, adding more reusable functions, features, and modules with each app.
